We hope you had a restful summer and have been able to remain healthy. As the school year has launched this year, we have received confusing guidance on all fronts. That said, the virtual teaching model is continuing in many school systems. While this is not optimal for most families, our goal is to provide as much support as we can to you during this time. As we learn about strategies, supports, interventions, and other resources you can employ, we will post them and send you alerts.
To start, two of our very skilled tutors who also provide direct teaching instruction in a school program have prepared a powerpoint that you may find helpful to get you started. The powerpoint includes some helpful tips about how to create structures and supports for your child that are typically found in the classroom. These supports are necessary to build independence in learning. Click for the link.
Please feel free to reach out to us with any questions you may have as you embark into the new school year.
