Rebecca Smyth

Rebecca Smyth is a special education teacher with Montgomery County Public Schools. She has experience providing individualized instruction in academic and social/emotional domains, in addition to adapting and modifying grade-level curricula to increase accessibility to differently-abled learners.
Ms. Smyth earned her Bachelor of Arts in English with a minor in Education at Ursinus College, and her Masters degree in Special Education at the University of Maryland. Ms. Smyth’s tutoring instructional focuses include: developing reading skills (fluency, comprehension, decoding), mathematics skill acquisition and maintenance (problem-solving, basic facts, calculation), writing organization and planning, as well as expanding upon in-progress social/emotional skills
