Donna Meyer has over 30 years of experience as a teacher, program support specialist, research staff member, and co-author of educational articles targeting instruction for students with disabilities. Much of her work has focused on tailoring individual instruction to maximize learning and access to the core curriculum. Her tutoring focus includes literacy and math instruction, social skills development, and real-world application of academic and language skills.
Ms. Meyer earned a Bachelor of Science in Special Education as well as a Master of Arts in Special Education from the University of Maryland. Currently she specializes in consultation and tutoring for individuals of all ages who experience reading, writing, math, social interaction, and language difficulties. She is a classroom teacher with Montgomery County Public Schools. In this capacity, she is involved in inclusive programming for students with special needs as well as partnerships with general and special education teacher training.
